The 27-year-old Victoria's Secret model gave birth in a Los Angeles hospital on Friday to a baby boy weighing 4.5 kilos, which is almost 10lbs, the Herald Sun reports.
Miranda's grandmother Ann Kerr apparently said, via a family friend, that both mother and baby were doing "very well".
Miranda's parents Therese and John Kerr flew to the America to be with their daughter for the birth and Orlando, 33, was also at her side for the arrival of their first child.
The supermodel was spotted shopping for boy's baby clothes last week, sparking rumours the couple already knew they were expecting a boy, despite Miranda and Orlando both insisting they wanted a surprise
The couple began dating in 2007 and married in an intimate ceremony last July.
Orlando said of becoming a father in August: "I'm really excited about it, it's great."
