Carrie Ann Inaba Gets Engaged on Live TV

CARRIE ANN INABA 8x10 Female Celebrity Photo Signed In-PersonThe Dancing with the Stars judge was surprised by her boyfriend of two years, Jesse Sloan, 39, with a ring while she guest-hosted Live! with Regis and Kelly, People reports.
The proposal was a bit ironic, as Inaba denied previous engagement rumors at the top of the show.
After Inaba revealed the rumors weren’t true, showing the audience a bare ring finger, she was proposed to twice. Jake Gyllenhaal, who appeared on the show to promote Source Code, presented a mock engagement ring to Inaba. The real proposal, however, came at the end of the show.
Philbin and Inaba were answering viewer questions, including one about proposing.
“From a hopeless romantic” Philbin read. “Regis I need your help, I love my girlfriend, and I want to propose but I’m not sure how to ask her. I really want to do something romantic and special.”
The lights dimmed and romantic music began to play as Sloan appeared on set.
Sloan, down on one knee, told Inaba, “You’re an inspiration, you’re beautiful, you’re wonderful, you’re everything to me. Will you marry me?”
Inaba, holding back tears, said, “Yes I will marry you.”
Inaba’s ring is a 2 ½-carat, D-color, princess-cut diamond solitaire ring in platinum from Rafinity. Hidden inside the ring are the bride and groom's birthstones.
