Pat Kiernan, local NY tv anchor expresses interest in replacing Regis Philbin on 'Live'

Pat Kiernan Former VH1 host Pat Kiernan and now local morning NY1 tv anchor to New York Magazine reporter spent 62 minutes with reporter Duff McDonald. Judging by the profile that resulted — expended roughly 57 of those expressing his interest in taking over Philbin's seat beside "Live" co-host Kelly Ripa.

It's an interesting idea. Kiernan, at 42, is barely older than Ripa, so the two would have more in common to talk about in terms of raising kids and shared cultural references and so forth. Kiernan is also a prolific Twitterer with more than 11,000 followers; bringing some of those users to "Live".
