The actress is said to be furious at plans to tell the Sex and the City backstory with a younger cast and looked into the latest in computer wizardry in a last ditch bid to put her and the rest of her girl pals back on screen.“The idea was to make one more movie with Carrie and the girls older but looking back at their college days,” reveals a Hollywood insider.
“She hoped to use motion capture techniques in order to have the old cast playing their younger as well as older selves instead of an all new cast. It would really of been a first for this kind of movie but the idea has been dropped now. Sarah is resigned to seeing the new SATC made without her.”Sarah recently revealed she wants to make a third Sex and the City film.
“I would go back,” she said. “I think there’s one more story to tell. I know there is.
“I’d definitely tell that [third] story, and I know Michael Patrick King would do it right.
“But maybe not now. Maybe in five years, you know?”
