Tom Cruise celebrated his 49th birthday on Sunday with a surprise party thrown by wife Katie Holmes. According to People, Katie threw Tom's soiree inside and on the rooftop of SoHo Beach House, a private members club and hotel located in Miami. More than three dozen of the star's friends were in attendance at the party, as were his three children, Suri, 5, Connor, 16, and Isabella, 18. The guests enjoyed Italian food, shrimp, and for dessert, a chocolate birthday cake, the magazine reported. "Katie planned everything herself," a source told the publication. Her planning even included making the "RSVPs herself," the source said. "She wanted to be sure everything was just right," the source added. Tom is currently filming the big screen version of the musical "Rock of Ages" in Florida.The film will hit theaters on June 1, 2012.
