Elvis Presley's 'Long Lost' Swedish Daughter Sues His Estate for $130 Million

Since his death, the legend of Elvis Presley has garnered some pretty weird rumors while attracting several serious nut jobs. According to Billboard, a Swedish woman named Lisa Johansen has sued the late singer's estate for over $130 million in damages.

And why would she do this? Because she claims to be the long-lost daughter of the King of Rock and Roll. Johansen's memoir 'I, Lisa Marie: The True Story of Elvis Presley's Real Daughter,' was published in 1998 and asserts that after the death of her "father," she was whisked away to Sweden for her own safety and forced to change her name.

Though the book gained a bit of media attention at the time, the "other Lisa" faded into obscurity after refusing to take a DNA test to prove the allegations. Johansen was apparently given a $200,000 advance, only to be slapped with a $50 million suit by her publisher after denying to get tested.

The author has since reinvigorated her investigation and, according to court documents, had taken a DNA test with London authorities last year after submitting a claim of identity theft. This didn't stop Johansen from swinging by Graceland on the August anniversary of her supposed father's death, where she spoke with some of the estate's staff.

The Presley family caught wind of the Swedish author's presence at the property and have recently hired Hollywood attorney Marty Singer to warn Johansen and her reps of making "malicious false claims and offensive wrongful conduct." Last week, Johansen filed a suit against the Presleys for a whopping $130 million in Tennessee federal court, claiming that her attendance at Graceland was by invitation and that the Presley family has been bullying and spreading lies about Johansen. The author also claims that Lisa Marie Presley stole her identity.

So what do you think about Lisa Johansen's claims? Is she the real Lisa Maria or is she bonkers? Check out her "interesting" book cover here.
