'Extra' Host Says She Was Molested By Her Doctor

"Extra" host Maria Menounos revealed a darker side today, when she announced had been sexually abused by multiple doctors during physical examinations. Appearing on the "Howard Stern Show" with boyfriend Kevin Undergaro, the normally congenial Menounos admitted that a doctor had asked her to change into a hospital gown and then touched her genitals when she was being treated for a throat issue. "I was really young, so I was so uncomfortable," she told Stern. "Kevin was in the waiting room and I literally started screaming … I was just so uncomfortable I didn't know what to do."
The 34-year-old former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant also said that this wasn't the only time she had been inappropriately touched, mentioning a male gynecologist who had touched her belly button after commenting on how "hot" it was. She said she now brings Undergaro into examination rooms with her.
Last September, Menounos made news when she told her parents on "Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers" that she was planning on freezing her eggs. “I have decided I am going to have kids," she said on the show at the time. "But to make it realistic, because I’m not going to do it for a few years, we’re going to freeze our eggs so that we have no problems down the line.”
