What's responsible for the Russell Brand/Katy Perry Split?

After 14 months, Brand filed for divorce from Perry over 'irreconcilable differences' -- but now, reports suggest a very specific reason.
Russell Brand is notorious for his once-wild lifestyle and attempts to change his bad boy ways. But according to a report in the newest issue of Us Weekly, Brand allegedly wasn't able to kick all of his bad habits. Since Brand filed for divorce from Katy Perry after 14 months of marriage, reports have surfaced suggesting that the actor/comedian was never sexually satisfied by his pop star wife.

"Katy was kinky enough during their first times together and he was very attracted to her," a source claimed. "When things got bad, if they got a roll in the hay, they were always better after," the insider added.

But apparently Russell's sexual appetite became too much for Katy to keep up with. Brand, a recovering sex addict, actually has an erotic award named after him in U.K.'s The Sun -- 'The Russell Brand Shagger of the Year Award.'

The US Weekly article goes on to name several other sources of tension between the now estranged couple. Apparently Katy's busy schedule left Russell feeling neglected and lonely. Russell, a recovering alcohol and drug addict, reportedly also had a hard time dealing with Katy's partying ways. According to the report, Brand was ready to start a family, while Katy insisted she was too busy.

Sources also alleged that Brand was never supportive of Katy's career. "She had so many things going on this year and there were so many times he wasn't there," a source said. "He told her she wasn't funny [when she hosted SNL] and he was totally uninterested [when he sat front row at her last concert]. He seemed annoyed he was there. I don't think he sat through one whole song."

“He’s very serious when he’s on set,” says Helen.  “He takes his acting very seriously. People don’t realize but he has done his actor training. He went to drama school. I didn’t. He’s more qualified than I am!”
Mirren who is often highlighted as one of the most beautiful Hollywood actresses recently admitted she’s a “bit cross” so much is made of her looks because it means women feel pressured into always appearing their best.
Asked how it makes her feel to be a beauty role model in her 60s, she said, “A bit cross, actually. We have to let go of this c**p. It creates even more pressure on women, and I certainly don’t want to be a part of that. I’m not beautiful; I clean up nice.
“Why don’t we talk about the fact, for example, that I just did Arthur, and the cinematographer was a woman, the film operator was a woman, the whole camera team were women? That’s where we should be putting our attention. The fact that I look good at the age I am is bloody irrelevant.”
