Wynonna Judd's husband, Michael Scott "Cactus" Moser, was seriously injured last night near Hill City, S.D., when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a car, the Rapid City Journal reports.According to Lt. David Berkley of the South Dakota Highway Patrol, Moser's Harley-Davidson drifted across the center divide on U.S. Highway 16/385 and hit the side door of a Chevy Malibu.
The driver of that car, 59-year-old Michael Bruce, declined medical treatment, but Moser was airlifted to Rapid City Regional Hospital with injuries described as "serious but not life threatening." He'll be cited for operating a motorcycle without a license and driving on the wrong side of the road.
Judd, who was traveling in another vehicle, canceled last night's show at the Deadwood Mountain Grand Hotel & Casino. She promised via Facebook to make up the date and has since issued a statement about the crash.
"The outpouring of prayer and support from friends, family and fans has been a blessing to both Cactus and I," she said. "Cactus is a champion. I love him deeply and I will not leave his side."
