Casey Abrams ... the "American Idol" finalist who was hospitalized Wednesday ... will stay on the show ... TMZ has reported.
TMZ.com reported, Casey was hospitalized Wednesday after complaining of severe stomach pains. He received a blood transfusion at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center this morning, and was released about an hour ago.

Casey has now done two rehearsals for the taping tonight which will be featuring the top 12 male finalists.
A source connected with the show told TMZ Casey will not have to return to the hospital.

Paula Abdul Will Not Be On "Dancing With The Stars"

Sources close to Paula said "American Idol" judge has decided against doing the show.

ABC offered Paula a $1,000,000 development deal if she agreed to do te show.

Paula is however still in talks with Simon Cowell about joining his upcoming "X Factor" show.

Elliott Yamin Former 'Idol' in Chile During Earthquake

Elliott Yamin had nothing but bad things to say about his trip to Chile.  Then a 8.8 earthquake hit and he quickly changed his tune.
The former "American Idol" contestant is in Chile for the Viña del Mar International Song Festival. He bashed the experience last night on Twitter, saying, "Thanks 4 nothing Chile! what an aweful experience!"
Less than an hour later, an 8.8 magnitude earthquake hit and Yamin began tweeting:
-- "Huge earthquake just now in Chile!!....I swear I thought this was the end of my life!!!!!"
-- "F**k!!!!!! I take it all back everybody!!....I just escaped w my life,from an 8.3 earthquake!!!...is everybody ok?...where was the epicener?"
-- "Complete and utter choas on the streets...no power...my heart is beatin outta my chest!....tsunami warnin...I am only a mile inland!"
Yamin settled down and even began giving interviews via phone. No word on when he plans to leave Chile.

'American Idol's' Chikezie Arrested

Remember Chikezie from "American Idol?" Apparently a sales person at Neiman Marcus remembered him because the singer was busted last night for felony identity theft says law enforcement sources.

Chikezie Eze was at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills when he allegedly tried to use "fraudulent means" possibly a phony check or credit card to purchase merchandise.
Chikezie was detained by store security until the Beverly Hills cops arrived. The singer was then taken to Bev Hills jail and booked on felony identity theft.
He is currently in jail, and he's being held on $50,000 bail.

Cowell and DeGeneres Sure Don't Idolize Each Other

Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres just don't get along.  The tension is building sources from  "American Idol" say.
Apparently, Simon and Ellen aren't even trying to hide it. Ellen can't stand what she believes is Simon's cruelty toward contestants. Sources say, Simon actually enjoys ticking off Ellen with his degrading critiques.
Sources from the show said it was apparent on and off camera.  Simon's tolerance level for the contestants was at an all-time low, and he knew it was making Ellen uncomfortable but clearly didn't care. As one insider put it, "He was intentionally pushing her buttons."  Stay tuned, it's gonna be a long season of "American Idol."

Stern 'Hates' American Idol....." says Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul finally declared her opinion on the Howard Stern situation this morning .  Moments after taking a stand, the former "American Idol" judge seemed to flip-flopped like a politician. Paula was on her way into a radio interview in Phoenix, Arizona when a cameraman  asked what she thought of Stern possibly taking over for Simon Cowell.

Paula's reply -- "I don't think that's gonna happen ... I don't know ... funnier things happen."
When the cameraman asked why Stern would be qualified for the gig, Abdul responded, "He hates the show ... I don't even know why ... He doesn't hate a hundred million though."
Simon is only reportedly making about $50 mil a season.
