Katherine Jackson Will File For Joint Custody Of Prince, Paris, Blanket

Just two days after she temporary lost guardianship over her three grandchildren (the late Michael Jackson's children), Katherine Jackson will file for joint custody with the King of Pop's nephew, T.J. Jackson.

A lawyer for the 82-year-old Katherine said that the new arrangement will lessen the burden of day-to-day tasks that have proved increasingly difficult for her while still maintaining her authority as a guardian of Prince, 15; Paris, 14; and Blanket, 10.

Katherine lost her custody rights on July 25 after a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled that she had been unable to oversee the children properly due to the involvement of others. The judge installed Michael's nephew T.J. (son of Tito) as a temporary guardian over Prince, Paris and Blanket.

The "pleading will essentially now legally reflect how Mrs. Jackson and T.J. have often shared responsibilities of raising the children since Michael Jackson's tragic passing," Perry Sanders, a lawyer for Katherine, told TMZ. "[The arrangement] reflected wishes of [Michael Jackson's] children."

The new arrangement, Sanders notes, will still keep Katherine as the sole person in charge of the family's allowance, which is a reported $70,000 per month.

On Thursday, the eldest Jackson child, Prince, tweeted a series of messages that expressed his disapproval of the way his family had handled the recent drama. He said that Katherine had been essentially manipulated and lied to, then threatened to "continue with the truth" if the lying continued. Katherine appeared to return home to the children in Los Angeles early Thursday morning.

"Mrs. Jackson is extremely pleased with the prospect of enjoying the pleasure of raising Michael's children without the day to day tedium of items such as managing the large staff that goes with such a high profile family and focus her attention on being a grandmother and raising Michael's children," Sanders said.

According to TMZ, an all-out war broke out at the Calabasas, California home of "missing" Jackson family matriarch Katherine Jackson on Monday afternoon, complete with slapping and punching.

Sources told the site that two SUVs with Randy, Jermaine and Janet Jackson inside, followed a car driving Michael Jackson's three kids (Paris, Prince and Blanket) inside the gates of Katherine's home. TMZ reports that MJ's three siblings, who did not have authority to enter the premises, tried to "strong-arm" all three of Michael's kids, in order to get them in an SUV and take them to Arizona, where Katherine Jackson has been staying.

That's when all hell broke loose!

Sources say a scuffle ensued after Janet tried to grab a resistant Paris's cell phone, and Janet slapped her teenage niece and called her a “spoiled bitch” during a violent face-off outside the home!

Not to be outdone by her aunt's display of violence, the NY Post reports that Paris fired back with her own slap and told Janet, "This is our house. Not the Jackson family house. Get the f**k out!"

Making matters worse, Janet and Paris reportedly weren't the only ones who got physically violent with each other. The NY Post also reports that Trent Jackson (Tito Jackson's son), who is apparently trying to get temporary guardianship of Michael's kids, put Randy in a headlock and punched Jermaine in the mouth.

MTV reported that police were called to the scene but did not make any arrests.

Meanwhile, Katherien Jackson, who was presumed to be missing earlier in the week, is staying with her daughter Rebbie in Arizona while doctors have ordered her to stay away from computers and phones in order to de-stress, according to the AP and a statement released by Jermaine Jackson on Sunday.

Talking about the scuffle with MJ's kids, Randy Jackson admitted to ABC's "Good Morning America," that things "did get out of hand" when Janet, brother Jermaine and him visited Katherine's Calabasas home to speak with Michael's three kids on Monday afternoon, but he blamed the altercation on security personnel who tried to block their entrance. Randy also denied the allegations that Janet slapped her niece. "There was no slapping or calling of names. That never happened," he told GMA.

"(We were) coming to tell the children that they could talk to and visit with their grandma anytime they want, that she was resting on doctors orders," he added. "We were denied access to our own home."

TMZ has also learned that Tito's son, Trent Jackson, has entered the probate court in downtown L.A., along with an army of lawyers, trying to get temporary guardianship of Michael Jackson's 3 kids.

Katherine's lawyer, Perry Sanders, told TMZ, "This is a very tense time when of course we don't feel Mrs. Jackson should be removed as guardian and we would vigorously oppose that on anything other than an extremely short-term basis, until she returns home."

UPDATE: TMZ has now reported that Judge Mitch Beckloff just made Trent Jackson the temporary guardian of MJ's kids and suspended Katherine's guardianship.

Trent's lawyer is expected to file for permanent guardianship of the kids in the next 48 hours, according to TMZ reports.

DCFS At Jackson Family House in Encino

Jermaine Jackson's 13-year-old son, Jaafar, ordered the stun gun online that triggered a visit from the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services last night.

 DCFS came to the Jackson family house in Encino last night at around 10:30 after someone told them that Jaafar ordered the gun. Randy Jackson said that the gun was delivered to the house 3 weeks ago -- but was intercepted by security.
Katherine Jackson's lawyer, Adam Streisand, said that Katherine took control of the gun and locked it up. Sources report that  DCFS took the gun away last night.
Streisand reported to TMZ that two people from DCFS conducted interviews last night at the house. They spoke with Katherine and some of the children. Michael Jackson's three kids live at the home, along with some of their cousins.
Both Randy and Streisand told TMZ none of the children ever got hold of the gun.
 
UPDATE: Katherine Jackson's lawyer, Adam Streisand, confirmed that DCFS was at the house last night and that "Mrs. Jackson is doing the utmost to safeguard the welfare of her grandchildren." He says it's "normal" for DCFS to come back and do a follow-up.

UPDATE:  According to TMZ reports, multiple sources say the stun gun that Jermaine Jackson's 13-year-old son purchased was actually used by the children in the house ... and Michael Jackson's son, Blanket was an intended target.

TMZ is reporting and apparently confirmed that the children at the Jackson home were playing with the gun last week.

TMZ reports say the kids were using the gun on the second floor of the house. Security guards on the property were perplexed because they couldn't figure out where the noise was coming from ... nor could they identify the sound.

Late last week, TMZ reported that one of the security guards went upstairs and "stopped Jermaine's kids from stunning Blanket." The guard confiscated the gun.
As previously reported two DCFS social workers interviewed Katherine and several of the kids and confiscated Jaafar's stun gun.
Sources such as TMZ say the kids have a second stun gun that DCFS did not recover and it is somewhere on the property.
DCFS is going back to the house today for further investigation. TMZ reports say DCFS considers this "a very serious situation."

UPDATE:  8:39PM EST
The Jackson family has released a statement about the stun gun incident which triggered an investigation by the L.A. County DCFS:
According to the statement, issued by Katherine Jackson's lawyer Adam Streisand, Jermaine's 13-year-old son Jaafar ordered a gun online and it was delivered to the Jackson family home two weeks ago in Encino. The statement says the gun was a "taser." Other sources say it was a stun gun.  Streisand says Jaafar opened the package alone in his bathroom and "tested it on a piece of paper." According to the statement, Mrs. Jackson and security heard the sound coming from the second floor and confiscated the "taser."
The statement continues saying that Katherine removed the "taser" from the house. TMZ reported that a stun gun was at the house last night when social workers from DCFS confiscated it.
Here's some of the discrepancies in this statement: Streisand says there was only one gun. Other sources say some of the employees on the property will tell DCFS there were two guns.
Streisand says neither Blanket nor Paris saw or heard the "taser." Other sources say some of the employees will tell DCFS Jaafar was in the same room with Blanket and Paris and pointed a stun gun at them.
Streisand says, "All of the kids are happy, healthy and wonderful and that is Mrs. Jackson's only objective and concern."

UPDATE:  Jermaine Jackson has finally admitted that his son, Jaafar Jackson, purchased a "little thing" online recently ... but Jermaine claims his child never used it on Michael Jackson's son, Blanket.  Jermaine just gave to Dutch TV's "rt(4)," in which Jackson never explained what the "little thing" was.
