Paula Deen Makes Public Apology, Gets Fired by Food Network; VIDEO

Friday has been quite the busy day for Paula Deen ... and not in a good way. First, she was a no-show for her "Today" show appearance, then she made an attempt at an apology for her past racist comments (and more) by posting a video to YouTube. As media outlets began picking up the video, in which she begged forgiveness from everyone from her children to her fans, it was suddenly taken down. But within an hour or so, a new apology video went up. And just as it did, other news broke: The Food Network is firing her.
All of the hubub stems from the recent release of her deposition statements for a discrimination lawsuit made by a former employee. In the deposition, Deen admits to having used the N-word, tolerating racist jokes, and mulling over a wedding in which all of the waiters would be black and dressed as slaves.
In her latest apology video, the 66-year-old sits in an office looking into the camera, and kicking things off with her signature "Hello, y'all." Interestingly, she starts off with an apology about skipping her "Today" appearance.
"I was invited this morning to speak with Matt Lauer about a subject that has been very hurtful for a lot of people and Matt, I have to say I have been physically not able to this morning. The pain has been tremendous that I have caused to myself and to others. So I'm taking this opportunity, now that I have pulled myself together and am able to speak, to offer an apology to those that I have hurt," she says in the 2-minute clip. "I want people to understand that my family and I are not the kind of people that the press is wanting to say we are. The color of your skin, your religion, your sexual preference does not matter, but it’s what's in the heart … and my family and I try to live by that."
Deen continues her apology, ending with "I hope that you forgive me because this comes from the deepest part of my heart…."
Of course, the apology comes too late to salvage her own cooking show. "Food Network will not renew Paula Deen's contract when it expires at the end of this month," it said in a statement. Deen has been with the network for more than a decade.
Earlier Friday, after Deen bailed on the "Today" show interview with Matt Lauer, the NBC News morning show called out her "no-show" in the cold open of its broadcast.
A clearly irritated Lauer said that he spoke with Deen about having a "candid, open and no-holds-barred discussion," but then added that, just minutes before it went to air, the show was contacted by Deen's publicist who relayed that the celebrity chef was exhausted and wouldn't be showing up.

Michael Jackson family feud, Janet Allegedly Slaps Niece, Calls Her A 'Spoiled Little Bitch'

According to TMZ, an all-out war broke out at the Calabasas, California home of "missing" Jackson family matriarch Katherine Jackson on Monday afternoon, complete with slapping and punching.
Sources told the site that two SUVs with Randy, Jermaine and Janet Jackson inside, followed a car driving Michael Jackson's three kids (Paris, Prince and Blanket) inside the gates of Katherine's home. TMZ reports that MJ's three siblings, who did not have authority to enter the premises, tried to "strong-arm" all three of Michael's kids, in order to get them in an SUV and take them to Arizona, where Katherine Jackson has been staying.
That's when all hell broke loose!
Sources say a scuffle ensued after Janet tried to grab a resistant Paris's cell phone, and Janet slapped her teenage niece and called her a “spoiled bitch” during a violent face-off outside the home!
Not to be outdone by her aunt's display of violence, the NY Post reports that Paris fired back with her own slap and told Janet, "This is our house. Not the Jackson family house. Get the f**k out!"
Making matters worse, Janet and Paris reportedly weren't the only ones who got physically violent with each other. The NY Post also reports that Trent Jackson (Tito Jackson's son), who is apparently trying to get temporary guardianship of Michael's kids, put Randy in a headlock and punched Jermaine in the mouth.
MTV reported that police were called to the scene but did not make any arrests.
Meanwhile, Katherien Jackson, who was presumed to be missing earlier in the week, is staying with her daughter Rebbie in Arizona while doctors have ordered her to stay away from computers and phones in order to de-stress, according to the AP and a statement released by Jermaine Jackson on Sunday.
Talking about the scuffle with MJ's kids, Randy Jackson admitted to ABC's "Good Morning America," that things "did get out of hand" when Janet, brother Jermaine and him visited Katherine's Calabasas home to speak with Michael's three kids on Monday afternoon, but he blamed the altercation on security personnel who tried to block their entrance. Randy also denied the allegations that Janet slapped her niece. "There was no slapping or calling of names. That never happened," he told GMA.
"(We were) coming to tell the children that they could talk to and visit with their grandma anytime they want, that she was resting on doctors orders," he added. "We were denied access to our own home."
TMZ has also learned that Tito's son, Trent Jackson, has entered the probate court in downtown L.A., along with an army of lawyers, trying to get temporary guardianship of Michael Jackson's 3 kids.
Katherine's lawyer, Perry Sanders, told TMZ, "This is a very tense time when of course we don't feel Mrs. Jackson should be removed as guardian and we would vigorously oppose that on anything other than an extremely short-term basis, until she returns home."
UPDATE: TMZ has now reported that Judge Mitch Beckloff just made Trent Jackson the temporary guardian of MJ's kids and suspended Katherine's guardianship.
Trent's lawyer is expected to file for permanent guardianship of the kids in the next 48 hours, according to TMZ reports.

Robert Blake unleashes during Piers Morgan interview (Video)

(CNN) -- Actor Robert Blake accused CNN's Piers Morgan of calling him a liar in a combative, profanity-laced interview that was more remarkable for its tone than revelations surrounding his acquittal in the 2001 murder of his wife.

Blake, 78, said he agreed to appear on the show Wednesday to promote his self-published memoir "Tales Of A Rascal," telling Morgan that the book was not about his late wife, Bonnie Lee Bakley, or their relationship.

"I made a deal to come here and talk about anybody from the book," Blake said after Morgan asked about his feelings about the case.

"I excused you from that deal because I thought you were going to be cool. Now you're trying to (bleep) into the ground."

Blake was acquitted in 2005 in connection with the murder of Bakley, though that same year he was found liable for her death in a wrongful death lawsuit and ordered to pay $30 million. Blake subsequently filed for bankruptcy.

When Morgan asked about the case, including the civil suit, Blake demanded: "Do you know why I was arrested?"

George Clooney brings Stacy Keibler to his house in Lake Como(Video)

George Clooney and Stacy Keibler, who have been dating for nearly a year, have been spending time together at Villa Oleandra, the 22-room home the Academy Award winner purchased nearly a decade ago for $10 million. On Monday, they entertained some friends aboard Clooney's boat. Keibler, 32, made a great first mate — and looked very European and summery in a green-and-white pantsuit with a color-coordinated hat. Clooney, 51, was outfitted in light blue pants and a button-down shirt for the boat ride, bringing along his camera to snap some photos.

George Clooney's posh villa on Lake Como has been a popular vacation destination for many of his A-list friends and, most recently, his girlfriend Stacy Keibler.

Throughout their relationship, Clooney and Keibler have made several trips to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, including one last week, but this is reportedly the first time they've been in Lake Como together. Clooney has entertained several of his past lady loves at the palatial home, including Italian TV host Elisabetta Canalis as well as his ex-girlfriend-turned-friend Karen Duffy.    However, it's not just gal pals who have been welcomed inside the home, which Clooney tried to sell two years ago before changing his mind and taking it off the market. In 2004, the stars of his film "Ocean's Twelve" — including Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Don Cheadle, and Brad Pitt, who was traveling with his then- wife, Jennifer Aniston — holed up at the 18th-century waterfront villa while filming scenes for the heist movie. Then last year, Clooney invited his "The Ides of March" co-stars Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood for a visit. "He throws the gauntlet down: 'Are you guys gonna jump in the lake?'" Tomei said of her host while making an appearance on "Conan" last year. "We wound up all skinny dipping, let's just cut to the chase." Other showbiz friends who have spent time at Clooney's Italian abode include Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford, who enjoy paddle boarding and jet-skiing while they're there, as well as Bono and his family.   On "Late Show With David Letterman" in October, Clooney revealed that he has hosted several newsmen, too, including Charlie Rose, David Gergen, and the late Walter Cronkite. When "the most trusted man in America" was visiting — at the age of 90! — Clooney pulled a prank on him, which resulted in Cronkite jumping in the lake. "He said, 'Do we dress for dinner?' and, of course, we don't, and I said, 'Yes' and there's about 15 of us," Clooney recounted. "So he came out in a navy jacket and captain's hat and we were all in robes at the table. He said something that I'm actually not allowed to repeat on television." While Cronkite went to change, "We all ran upstairs, changed, and put on suits," George said. "He came out in long shorts and walked by us and was like, 'B******s.' And he jumped in the lake."
Clooney's home has also been a honeymoon destination for a fellow Oscar winner. Viola Davis went there with new husband Julius Tennon after saying "I do" in 2003. "I begged him to let me stay at his villa in Lake Como for my honeymoon," Davis told Entertainment Weekly earlier this year. "We were the only ones in the villa. It's a 22-room villa!" When asked if she was allowed to use Clooney's wood-fire pizza oven, she cracked: "I didn't make the pizza. His staff made the pizza."
While Clooney and Keibler look like the picture of happiness on their recent getaway, don't expect them to have their honeymoon there … ever. The actor, who was previously married to "Mad Men" star Talia Balsam has said he'll never get married again.

Gene and Shannon Simmons adoption sabotaged (Video)

More challenges arose in Shannon's ongoing attempt to adopt a child on the latest "Gene Simmons Family Jewels".  Each of the family members had to take part in an interview with a social worker, which became a problem because the kids weren't yet on board with the plan.
Gene Simmons, Shannon TweedShannon and Gene's son Nick decided to sabotage his own interview, throwing Shannon under the bus completely. He said her desire to adopt a baby was "an impulse that will not last." He went on to say that he thought she was doing this simply because he and sister Sophie were now moving out of the house.
"We moved out. Doesn't mean you just get a new one," he said. Harsh words. As for Sophie, she refused to even participate in the interview process, leaving the entire adoption up in the air. It looks like this is a battle that may play out throughout the season.

Kim Kardashian makes comment regarding Indian food

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been spotted indulging in various culinary pleasures over the past several weeks, dining at NYC establishments such as Mercer Kitchen and Serafina, and enjoying the occasional ice cream treat.
But hopefully Kanye knows not to take Kim to any Indian restaurants. On Sunday's episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," Kim revealed that she finds Indian food "disgusting."
Many viewers were offended by Kim's dismissal of the cuisine and shared their disapproval via Twitter. "I think its good Kim Kardashian doesn't like Indian food because that means she won't ever visit India and that in itself is a blessing," wrote one user.
Kim took to her blog Tuesday to clear up any confusion over her remark. "In NO way was this intended as an insult to the Indian people or their culture," she wrote. "This is just my own personal taste. There are a lot of foods I don’t like… I hate cilantro and peppers, and there are definitely some Armenian foods that I personally find disgusting, but that doesn’t reflect my opinions on other Armenian people or my culture."
Kardashian continued, "My comment wasn’t intended to offend anybody. We all have our own opinions and tastes and I was simply expressing mine."
